VI Peel Recovery Time

When a Patient leaves our office, their skin may look orange, tan color. The peel self neutralizes over 4 hours after the peel, patients will cleanse the peel from their skin. Patients will start to
peel 48-72 will begin to peel. It will typically start to peel around the mouth and the chin area spreading from there.

Do Not pick or peel the skin!

Doing this could result in scarring and discoloration. Its best to allow the skin to shed on is own.

It can take 7-10 days for the peeling to complete.

How many peels can you do and how far apart should they be done?

For most patients, peels should be done three to four times a year starting at puberty to improve acne, or excess of oily skin that is already present, and to avoid permanent scarring for those affected by acne. The frequency of the peel depends on various factors and will be determined by your skin specialist. For best results is recommended every 4-6 six weeks.

Preparing for Vi Peel


• 3-5 days before your Vi Peel is recommended to stop using exfoliating products, tretinoin(Retin-A), acids and bleaching creams/ products.
• Do not wax or have a skin treatment like chemical peel, prior your treatment.
• Discontinue Accutane 6 months prior to having any skin treatment or procedure due to skin sensitivity.

How Does the VI Peel Precision Plus works?

• TCA – Trichloroacetic Acid for penetration, deep scar healing, collagen stimulation
• Retinoic Acid -An Acid derived from vitamin A to combat exfoliant
• Salicylic Acid -This beta hydroxy acid (BHA) is a strong exfoliant
• Phenol – A powerful acid with antiseptic and anesthetic properties that aids in skin penetration• Benzol Peroxide – An antiseptic that treats acne, and gets rid of bacteria and dead skin cells
