The GentleMAX Pro is a dual platform laser using 755 nm Alexandrine Laser and a 1064nm Nd:YAG Laser for high performance treatment capabilities in terms of speed, efficacy, and patient satisfaction. When directed at the hair follicle, laser energy is absorbed through the hair pigment, damaging the follicle, and preventing regrowth.

How many treatments will I need?
Laser hair removal procedures impair the growth of hair follicles when they are in the growth cycle at the time of the procedure. There are three phases in a person’s hair growth cycle: Anagen, Catagen, and Telogen. Most clients need a minimum of 5-10 treatments to obtain maximum results, in interval of 4-8 weeks. Hair growth is reduced after each treatment and the number of treatments required will be based on your hair color and type, body area and skin tone. Results depends on additional factors your age, ethnicity, hormones, medications, and metabolism – all of which can affect your hair’s thickness and tenacity. The fee for hair removal depends on the size of the size of the area. We are happy to provide you with more information when you call.
Does it hurt?
Some clients may feel a slight discomfort with each laser pulse, sometimes described like the snapping of rubber band on the skin. This discomfort resolves quickly and is minimized by Candela’s patented “Dynamic Cooling Device” (DCD) used to cool the area being treated. The (DCD) sprays a cooling burst of cryogen on the skin to ensure the treatment is not only effective
but comfortable.
Are there side effects?
Side effects of treatment include temporary redness and swelling at the treatment site. This indicates your hair follicles have responded to the treatment. Side effects normally disappear within hours after the treatment. Be sure to discuss potential side effects with your specialist.
How do I prepare for treatment?
Clients should avoid plucking, waxing, or electrolysis for 4-6 weeks prior to treatment. Skin should be clean -shaven and thoroughly cleansed, removing any makeup, cream, oils, topical anesthetics, or self-tannings products before treatment. Avoid skin care products with irritants such as Glycolic Acid or Retin-A on the treatment area for about a week. Do not expose the intended treatment area to sunlight or tanning booth prior to or immediately after treatment.
What can I expect after treatment?
A cool compress or aloe may be applied for comfort following your treatment. Clients can resume daily activities immediately after treatment. Any redness or swelling should resolve within a few hours. Prevent sun exposure by applying sunblock (SPF 30 or above.) In the first few days after treatment, do not scrub or rinse the treated areas with abrasive cleansers.
